Welcome to Macminicolo. Here is some information we think will be useful.

Getting your Mac Mini initially installed.

If you have purchased a machine from us, we'll have it ready in a day or two and we'll send you an email when it's ready. If you are sending in a machine, be sure to download the "Initial Setup" PDF to get all the settings right. You can get that here.

Applications you can run.
Just about anything really. We highlight good options on our blog, FarAwayMac.com.

How To Control the Mac mini?
Most people use the built-in options of Screen Sharing and Apple Remote Desktop. You can also use SSH by turning on Remote Login. If we're setting up your mini, we'll enable SSH and Screen Sharing for you to use.

If the machine crashes and it does not come back up.

If you have the "Remote Reboot" option on your plan, this is usually the best medicine. It will fix a frozen mini 90% of the time. Details are here.

What if I need help on my mini?

We try to keep it pretty simple. You can submit a support ticket by logging into the support site. There you can give a description of the issue. We try to get things fixed right away, but it can take up to one business day. This "Remote Hands" is $20.

If it is something that must be done within 4 hours, mark it as Urgent. The Urgent Remote Hands is priced at $99.

If it is beyond our ability to fix, we can get it shipped to you or bring it to the local Apple Store. Customers who can't have extended downtime should consider joinging the hot standby club.

Anything else?

If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us.
