With your Mac mini in our data center, configuring and installing software is easier than you think.

Getting your Mac Mini initially installed.

You can get your Mac mini to us a number of ways. You can buy it yourself and ship it to us ready to go. Or if you buy it through us or one of our vendors, we will do a one time install of any CDs you send us for free.

Applications you can run.
Just about anything. Details are here.

Settings.
We have a complete setting guide here.

Once the machine is online.
You can use a number of remote control options. Timbuktu, Apple Remote Desktop and VNCosx are the most popular. We have successfully controlled servers for a number of years using Timbuktu. TB2 allows you to control the FInder almost as if it were in the same room. It also lets you transfer files. A Timbuktu overview is here.
Of course, hard core Unix guys already know they can control the mini via SSH with the shell.

If the machine crashes and it does not come back up.

You can always cycle the power using our remote power control option. This is a simple web browser based way to control the power. Details are here.

If the unit dies and just needs to be pulled out of service.

We have a hot standby club that gives you a backup machine of equal or higher power on standby. We will pull your machine and either send it to service or ship it back to you for repair. You pay for repairs and shipping. In the case of a lease we cannot send the unit to you.

Things that just need human hands?
On a prescheduled basis a single incident of remote hands cost $20*. An unscheduled, or URGENT request is $50* (*For a single incident of up to 2 hours of remote help.)

If you have a special need/request please contact us.
